When the
Sanjaya Malakar phenomenon ended on Wednesday, everyone wanted a piece of him. On Thursday, first came the press conference call and later
Jay Leno. On Leno's show, Sanjaya first did one of those Geico-Little Richard things with Donny Osmond. Later, when he earned a seat of the couch, he came off as very shy and somewhat unsure of himself. After all the camera time he's had, he acted as if it was his first time. Seated next to him was actor
Jack Black, who said he was rooting for him (after the chubby guy) and that if he had voted, he would have voted for him.

The 17-year-old smiled alot, fidgeted in his chair and proved he didn't possess the gift of gab. Getting him to say anything, much less anything interesting, was like pulling teeth for Leno. We're sure he was glad when, what felt like an excruciating long 7.5 minutes

on air with the San Man, finally came to an end. Indeed, Jack Black and Leno himself spoke much more than Sanjaya did. The one thing we did learn was that Sanjaya's father is from India and his mother of Italian heritage. You can watch it here:
